2025 Kia Sorento X-Line EX vs 2025 Kia Sorento X-Line SX

Serving Highland, IN

The impressive Kia Sorento is one of the few compact crossover SUVs that have a third row of seats, and it also stands out in a crowd with its engaging style and excellent combination of desired features. In 2025, the Sorento is unchanged from the previous model year. It continues to be available with the same trim levels. These are the LX, S, EX, SX, X-Line EX, X-Line SX, X-Line SX Prestige, and X-Pro SX Prestige. How do mid-level options like the X-Line EX and X-Line SX compare?

Performance

The X-Line EX and the X-Line SX are comparably engineered for the 2025 model year. They are outfitted with a 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, which produces 281 horsepower and is tied to an eight-speed dual-clutch auto transmission. All-wheel drive is standard for both trim levels.

Appearance

The 2025 Kia Sorento makes a grand statement on the road with its tall yet curved stance. The sides are dressed up with a smoothly defined contour that runs horizontally. The wheels stand out with U-shaped spokes. At the front end, the Sorento displays a wide, rectangular grille that consumes most of the nose. It is mounted above a rectangular, black fascia on the bumper. A column of four LED bulbs sits below an amber-colored light element on the sides. Both of these X-Line trims have silver trim, black 20-inch wheels, and raised roof rails.

Features

The Sorento X-Line EX is equipped with a hands-free liftgate, second-row captain's chairs, lane centering, and a panoramic sunroof. It also has the same features available in lower trim levels, including heated front seats, a push-button starter, synthetic leather upholstery, an integrated navigation system, a wireless device charging pad, rear auto braking, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone auto climate control system, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, wireless smartphone app integration, forward collision mitigation, and others. The X-Line SX also comes with a blind-spot camera, a 360-degree camera, a digital instrument panel, and adaptive cruise control.
