2025 Kia Seltos vs 2025 Kia Sportage

Serving Highland, IN

The Kia Seltos and the Kia Sportage both benefit from subtle updates for the 2025 model year. The subcompact Seltos crossover SUV sits just below the compact Sportage in the lineup. What can you expect from these popular models?

Performance

For the 2025 Seltos, the base powertrain available in most trim levels is a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 146 horsepower. It has a CVT and standard all-wheel drive. The X-Line trim features a 1.6-liter turbo, four-cylinder, 195-horsepower engine. This system pairs with an eight-speed auto transmission. All of the 2025 Kia Sportage trim levels have the same powertrain. This is a 187-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine. This system comes with an eight-speed auto transmission, and most trim levels feature standard front-wheel drive. The X-Line, X-Pro, and X-Pro Prestige have standard all-wheel drive.

Appearance

The Seltos is impressively sleek, with a low-swooping roof and a short, rounded nose. At the front, the LED headlights are designed with a tall, pointed light bar that trends inward toward the large, bowtie-style grille. The side panels are prominently chiseled to reflect deep sculpture. The 2025 Sportage has a taller profile with horizontal LED headlights and a wide, U-shaped grille. Across the sides, the Sportage has smoothed-over contouring and thick body molding.

Features

The Seltos is well-equipped with features like a digital key, highway driving assist, intersection collision mitigation, a sunroof, an auto-dimming rear mirror, adaptive cruise control, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, rear parking sensors, safe exit assist, a hands-free liftgate, synthetic leather upholstery, a wireless phone charger, a 10.2-inch central display screen, heated front seats, a digital instrument cluster, a navigation system and others. The Sportage has many of these features as well as a surround-view camera, a heated windshield, rear auto braking, a camera-based blind-spot system, a Harman Kardon sound system, driver's memory controls, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and more.
