The midsize K5 debuted in Kia's lineup in 2021 as a modern sedan packed with value. In 2025 Kia introduces bold design updates to the exterior and interior. The 2025 Kia K5's exterior is updated with new headlight and taillight designs for a fresh look. At the front, the headlights show off vertical and horizontal amber lighting. The vertical bar has a sharp, lightning bolt design. The wide bow-tie grille and the rectangular lower fascia have a honeycomb pattern. The large accents flanking the bumper carry rectangular fog lights. At the rear, the new taillights have long, bent LED bars running below the integrated spoiler. To complete the K5's stunning exterior style, it boasts a lower accent bar on the sides as well as a smoother accent across the upper door panels.

The redesigned dashboard has a wide infotainment system screen and a digital instrument panel housed in the same curved glass cover. The air vents and climate controls below the infotainment system screen are sleek and low-profile. You will find more oversized cup holders in the redesigned center console, a wireless charging pad and two USB-C ports. Additional features are wireless connections for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, a Bose premium sound system, a heated steering wheel, front and rear parking sensors, and heated seats.

For all of the 2025 Kia K5 trims except the GT-Line, the turbo 1.6-liter engine from last year is replaced by a 2.5-liter system. This produces 11 horsepower more, bringing the output up to 191 horsepower. The engine in the K5 GT-Line continues to be a turbo four-cylinder that puts out 290 horsepower. Both engines have front-wheel drive. However, the GT-Line is offered with optional all-wheel drive.
